Celebrating Two Decades of Ministry

October 24 & 25, 2008
UNL East Campus Union, Lincoln Nebraska

We are very excited about hosting a two day event weaving issues related to traditional family values with prayer emphasis and dynamic speakers.

some of the confirmed keynote speakers for the day are:

Janet Folger, who hosts a daily radio program heard across America. She is a strong voice for faith and family values. Janet has appeared on NBC's Today Show, Nightline, CNN and many others.

Star Parker, she is president of the Coalition on Urban Renewal & Education. Star has been featured in Focus on the Family broadcasts. She writes a column in more than 400 newpapers and is a strong voice for Christian values.

William Federer, is a best-selling author and his AMERICAN MINUTE radio program is featured across the United States which recalls events about America's Christian heritage.

LB 606 Signing

LB 606 Signed into Law by Governor Heineman

For 10 years pro-life organizations have tried to advance legislation that would ban human cloning and restrict embryonic stem cell research without success. LB 606 does ban cloning and embryonic research with state funds. We Thank God for your prayers. Take a moment to praise God for this incredible victory!

LB 606 only allows research to continue on existing human embryonic stem cell lines authorized by President Bush. No state funds or facilities can be used to destroy an embryo for the purpose of research and LB 606 does ban human cloning in public owned facilities. The Bill encourages scientists to pursue research projects using non-embryonic stem cells rather than embryonic stem cells. Up to $500,000 in state tobacco settlement funds will be set aside plus matching funds each year for non-embryonic stem cell research projects with no single institution in the state eligible to receive more than 70 percent of the funds.

We believe it is the heart of God to respond to the cry of His people. Day and Night prayer........ continual prayer..... 24 hours, 7 days a week prayer. God seems to be calling the Church back to a desperate dependency upon Himself. Far from being merely a fad or an emotional response, this type of prayer movement is simply a return to Scripture. God's word is full of both command and example concerning a time to watch and pray. Jeremiah 33:3 "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."

America is at a spiritual crossroad. Across the nation there is a prayer movement under way. In the vast majority of states there is a House of Prayer. Just across the border in Iowa there are 5 Prayer Centers scattered across the state. The primary location for a unified place of prayer is in Lincoln, the capitol city. It is time for Nebraska to have a 24 hour House of Prayer to intercede for families, government, the state, the nation and the Church.

We have heard from elected officials they desire our prayer support because they recognize the challenge before them. In response, we launched 'Adopt a Leader in Prayer' in partnership with National Day of Prayer in December 2006. Prayer for our leaders shapes the destiny of our nation.

To register on-line use our 'Sign-Up' form located on the top left of the website. Please make sure you choose 'Adopt a Leader' from the pull down menu. Fill out the information and then click submit.

Or to register by US mail click here for a pdf mail-in form. You will need to have Acrobat Reader to view the pdf form. Print out the form, complete the information and return in the mail.

When you sign up for 'Adopt a Leader' you will receive a free resource packet with information on praying for your leaders. The resource packet includes a magnet with the name of your State Senator, U.S. Representatives and the Nebraska Supreme Court Justice appointed from your region, 30 Ways to Pray for a Leader and a Lifting Leaders to the Throne of God prayer card.
